SETC - Question!

Wasn't sure which board to put this on, so i put it on this one. If I audition at SETC and get asked to work for Disney for the summer, is that considered Equity? I didn't think it was, but thought I'd ask. Are there many Equity companies hiring for the summer at SETC? Also, I only have 90 seconds to audition, do you think "What is it about her?" from Wild Party would be a good song to audition with? Or do you think something like "Flight" by Craig Carnelia is better? thanks.

It has been years since I went to the SETC auditions. I cannot recall how many Equity houses were there, but there were PLENTY of non-equity jobs to be had.

With the range of theaters that will be there, pick whichever song shows you the best. Remember, the auditioners will see a LOT of people there. Do something that will make you stand out; make them remember you!

I do not know if you are a dancer or not, but, whatever you do, do NOT skip the dance audition.

SETC was very productive for me the year I went. I hope it is for you too! Let us know how it goes!
