I was only able to DVR the late night showing b/c of time slot conflicts, but I really wanted to see this (I'm obsessed with BIG LOVE). Can anyone give me a heads up who may have watched? Were you fascinated? Repulsed? Bored?
I watched. I even set myself a reminder so I wouldn't miss it. I find polygamy in America fascinating, and even more so because the mainstream Mormon church wants to pretend it doesn't exist and never existed.
The family seems more mainsteam than the Duggars. The kids dress normally, and attend a private church school, two of the mothers work and there are only 13 kids between 3 women instead of one every year.
The women definitely drank the Kool Aide, but some don't seem all that happy with their lives. They'll say they get jealous, but that's a personal problem they have to work through. I don't know, I found it more reassuring that they were admitting to problems (even if they're going about it in the wrong way IMO) than I do when Michelle Duggar treats motherhood like her own personal brand of crack and we only see the sunshine and lollipops side of an abnormal family.
I DVR'ed it last night but haven't watched it yet.
