Watched it last night & now I see why I have stayed away
There were only 3 good parts. The opening (Obama was a nice touch ) - they have always been good at political humor. The Weekend Update feature was good. The sketch on Larry King & Rowlings was a classic.
Everything else was LAME & Unfunny. Back to MAD TV for me

Oh for god's sake. That wasn't the season opener, dingwad. And Brian Williams was hilarious. I have a feeling most of the humor was too cerebral for you, which isn't saying much. Stick a fork in your funny bone and head back to Mad TV.
Doesn't much matter - there won't be another SNL for quite a while...

Yes, the Rock will be hosting next week and the show will be scriptless.
Maybe because I never watch the show & it was billed as the opener may have been responsible for me saying it was.
He was hilarious (not) as a firefighter. He should not give up his day job.If cerebral is another word for unfunny & lame (many on this board have already said it is lame) than yes it is not for me.
I like comedy shows to be funny . If you think SNL was funny last night, you need a reality check badly.

You show me where "it was billed as the season opener". Show me.

The Associated Press agrees with me.
I thought the show was hysterical last night! I was glad to see them getting back into the political humor. I am a big critic of the show and will, at times, be the first to say the show is unfunny or bad. Last night's was far from bad!
Namo.. of course it wasn't billed as the season opener! I doubt you will get anything more the a "whatever" in response.

Given that it was the fourth episode of the season, I am still waiting for where last night's was billed as "the season opener."
