Sad News, The Death Of And Icon

This is terribly sad news. This man was always my very favorite actor. I loved his work and am so saddened by this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I feel depressed.

Gumbo Dies at Age 70

Gumbo, best known for his work in the 1950's animated The Gumby Show, died early Thursday morning, January 20, at his home in Glendale, CA. Mr. Gumbo died of heart failure. He is best known as the proper, straight laced father of Gumby, a star of 1950's television.

Gumbo passed away peacefully in the presence of his family. His Gumby was quoted as saying "He was a great man, a true role model who will always be remembered for his sage advice. One of my fondest memories of him will always be the time he traveled to the moon to save me when I had been taken there by the Blockheads."

Gumbo leaves behind his son, Gumby and wife, Gumba. He will be laid to rest after a private funeral to be held on Monday.

I slept with Gumbo.

Not bad.

I'm really shocked by the cold hearted responses to this news. A clay man has died. Have some respect. This is nothing to joke about.

Where are the "thoughts and prayers" for his family?
Where are the sad faces re: Sad News, The Death Of An Icon ?
Where are the people who "have always loved Gumbo and was his biggest fan"?

It's called compassion, people, get some.

I'm sorry, I'm still in mourning for Idina's cracked rib. I can only grieve one tragedy at a time.

The only "clay" man I know of is Clay Aiken.

I never slept with him.

I have standards.

What do you mean "standards"? Clay is adorable. Of course, I've always been attracted to tall, skinny, goofy looking guys especially with ones with big ears.

Let's all take a moment to remember what Clay looked like PRE-AI makeover. *shudders*
