Posted: 7/7/09 at 8:13amNot surprising. "Stuff happens," as Mr. Rumsfeld infamously opined. In the case of Iraq, the resurgence in radical religious doctrine as a (mis) governing tool has made homosexuality far more taboo. But then, religion's track record in promoting personal freedom isn't very positive anywhere on the globe.
