(Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) A major corporation is reportedly having reservations about relocating to Oklahoma City in light of comments by state Rep. Sally Kern that gays are a worse threat than terrorists.

The Journal-Record reports that Staubach, a company that helps corporations relocate, is having trouble selling the city to its client, described only as a triple-A company with more than 1,000 employees.

The paper said that the unnamed company had not made up its mind but was seriously concerned following the publicity over Kern's remarks.

"He told us straight up … ‘I cannot recommend to any of my clients that they should consider Oklahoma City because of that,'" Roy Williams, president of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce told the Journal-Record.

Isn't that fascinating? But, it's true that we are becoming more and more recognized as a valuable group to corporate America. And THAT is a huge part of how we gain full equal civil rights.

Sally Kern won't apologize. She'll make her bigotry into a badge of "honor" that she wouldn't back down. It is great that major corporations are re-thinking OK as a location because of her, and apparently saying so in no uncertain terms.

I agree. She is way too stubborn to apologize and she doesn't think she is wrong either. I think her hate is going to come at a very high price when this is all done though.

Oh course it will come at a high price....from everyone. No corporate business....weaker local economy....more government assistance...more taxes and/or more national debt.

If I were advising them I would tell them it would not even be considered until the State dismisses Sally Kern. Once she is gone,and only then will further business be considered. Send a message to these hate mongers!
