Here's something I've been wondering (because I still wonder who Trig's mother is). If she was so virulently pro-life, why would she have gotten amnio?

Why didn't she answer "absolutely not" when Barbara Walters asked her if she had ever thought of aborting her down syndrome baby. Instead- she said something like she could understand a woman feeling that way-or something to that effect. I didn't watch any of the interviews- have seen so many clips

No, she never has and the story about her giving a speech and having contractions with no one realizing she was even pregnant...then flying home to Alaska still in labor just doesn't seem feasible.

The questions were never really answered, they just went away.

"We were told last week - finally - that Palin's medical records proving her fifth pregnancy and birth would be forthcoming "early this week." I congratulated the campaign for some minimal transparency at long last, and looked forward to getting this whole sorry story blown out of the water before election day. But Tracy Schmitt lied to us. The question you have to ask is: why?

Why does Sarah Palin refuse to prove that her baby - the baby that has been a campaign prop for two months - is actually one she gave birth to? Remember what we have been told by a McCain source about Palin:

"She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else."

There are way too many shady things wrong with this story. I have to laugh though. The Birthers DEMAND proof Obama was born in the USA but During the election when Sarah was running as VP anyone simply asking questions about her pregnancy was considered out of line. Sarah was the ONLY coward who did not appear on ANY of the Sunday talk shows after she got the nomination. McCain, Obama, and Biden all did though.McCain was terrified of someone asking her a tough question. You know like what news paper do you read? Sarah the quitter thought asking what paper she reads was a gotcha question.Shame on Oprah and Barbra Walters for not asking her tough questions.

Jersey, I can't find the original Daily Kos diary (it seems to have vanished) but Andrew Sullivan sums it up pretty well here.

The way I remember it is that the rumor was long circulating that Trig was actually Bristol's child, and that Sarah claimed to be the mother to cover it up. She didn't announce her "pregnancy" until it was almost over, no one had a clue, photos of her from when she was pregnant with her other kids show her looking totally engulfed by the pregnancy whereas with Trig she looked like she always does.

She claimed to go into labor in Texas, well, that she began leaking amniotic fluid. She still managed to give a speech in Texas, fly from Texas to Alaska, then travel two or so hours to the hospital before giving birth to Trig.

Also, during the the time of the Trig pregnancy, Bristol was out of school for like for months due to "mono."

Oh, and no one saw Tripp or Bristol for the seven weeks after he was allegedly born, meaning that he may have actually been born later, but it was announced earlier to throw off suspicion that she could have been pregnant (with Trig) before.

I am trying to find the interview done with Sarah 4 weeks before trig was born when she leads the interviewer and the camera man on a short walking tour of her office in Alaska. She is wearing an open coat and there is no sign of a pregnant belly.
