I think she's skeevy AND a diva...a "skeev-a", if you will.

A recent Salon.com article compared her to the high-ego, attention-starved dickheads you see on reality television, and I think that pretty much sums this broad up. May she disappear quickly!!

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Being a rogue diva whack-job maverick would certainly qualify Palin as a contestant on Charm School. I would totally watch that.

I think Palin will continue to be underestimated for a while. I watched the
way she connected with people, and she's powerful. Her politics aren't my
politics. But you can see that she's a very powerful, very disciplined,
incredibly gracious woman. This was her first time out and she's had a huge
impact. People connect to her.

louisamayfoster, you are correct. She does connect with people. Absolutely. Doesn't change the fact that she's a fricking psycho. She's nuts...crazy....scary....there's something wrong with her.

I'm not a very political person - just a person with a great deal of common sense. And, she has none of that.

Amen.

She certainly is a 'whack-job', but sadly, much worse, too. It would feel so good to dismiss her, but she's actually a fairly dangerous individual given the influence she seems to have over many Americans and the hatred she manages to bring out and encourage in people who like her slandering behavior and thrive on division.

I would love to see her simply crawl back to Alaska following McCain's loss of this election, but unfortunately, I'm sure we haven't seen the end of her.

Let's hope that in the future this country sees the light and rejects this ignorant, idiotic, and shameful hate-monger.

She won't disappear quickly or at all.

She's the future of the Republican Party.

She's all the poor dears have.

sooooo... charles manson is a psycho, and *he* connected with lots of people....
anyone with the "Q" factor can "connect" with people.
all it means is that someone has a huge "personality" for media coverage. nothing else. imho, it's all meaningless.
Example: "reality tv".
personally, i like boring, educated, quiet people with small egos.

Palin and Romney will start duking it out for 2012 on November 5. I have nothing particularly good to say about the ideas of either one, but they are your front-runners already.

Sarah Palin is about the best public speaker in the spectrum right now. Her commuication skills are sensational. She can deliver a speech and connect with an audience with the best of them. This is a theatre forum. Certainly anyone who logs on to this site has to use their own show biz savvy to see that Palin has quite a bit of star-power of her own.

She was dealt a losing hand from the start. She was/is an uninformed small-state politician who had no resources when she was handed this prize. But I think she learns quickly and will be a formidable and dangerous force in the future. (I also hope that I am wrong about that.) She has no real intellect, but is instinctive and sometimes those instincts are very good.

McCain's camp is now trying to "blame" her for the coming GOP rout. Leave it to a bunch of guys to blame the woman. (Ask any woman in a high position if that is not too often the case. Palin is getting blamed for the 150G wardrobe when she didn't buy it.) God forbid that McCain et al, realize that she ought never to have been offered the VP slot to begin with. Palin was a 'loser' this time around from the get-go.

She may be a diva and her ideas reek of being ill-formed, but a wack-job? Hardly.

McCain and company are far, far higher up on the wacko list at least for the time being.

Palin reminds me a lot of Ronald Reagan- completely disinterested in details, with a friendly smile that hides a heart of ice.

Palin was just chosen too early for this position. Being a mayor of a small town and a governor of less than 2 years is just not enough. Maybe if she came across more intelligent- then I wouldn't argue so much about her. She is definitely trained in television. Can you imagine those women who have fought to get on network television who will be overlooked when Palin comes to town. She hasn't been on the news for at least 10 years. She wasn't even an anchor in a large market! There are so many network news people who would be better qualified for VP. At least Romney and Huckabee have way more experience than her! If they had just waited unitl the next election, she would have been more credible. Now, she is just cramming all of this info into her head but I don't think she really understands it all. Personally, I hope she just takes her kids back to Wasilla. Maybe she should run for senator. Then she could have the best of both worlds. Why would she want to move her whole family out of Alaska- she loves it there!
