Hey Everyone,
A friend of mine is doing a show about embracing life.....and I seem to recall (in the withered windmills of my mind) a song that has the recurring refrain of "Say 'Yes'" i.e. to the things life presents to you.
Does this sound familar to anyone?
Hugs to You All!

Posted: 7/24/13 at 12:34pmIt's a Kander and Ebb song. I'm not sure what it (if anything) it was written for originally, but it's featured in "And the World Goes 'Round." Updated On: 7/24/13 at 12:34 PM

Wasn't it written for 70 Girls 70?
Liza sang in in the TV production of Liza With a Z:

Also, consider the song "I Hope You Dance" as a choice.
It's not a theater song, but it's poignant.

Always trust PJ: yes, "Yes" is from 70 GIRLS 70.
Also from LIZA WITH A Z is "Ring Them Bells", a more detailed Kander and Ebb anthem about embracing life.

Written for 70, GIRLS, 70, yes. Liza's very brassy version is wonderful, but I do prefer the mellow original version/accompaniment from the show. It builds better.
