Does anyone else remember this movie? I recorded it off TBS circa 1986 or so and my brother and I watched it all the time. It's never been issued on dvd and it's never shown on TV. That makes me unhappy. The whole thing is on YouTube, though.

Was it a cinema release or movie for tv? I am guessing with that cast cinema!

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Cinema. I was too young, but it was on a cable channel once when I was a kid. I don't ever remember seeing it on tv again.

I used to watch that movie obsessively. I even petitioned for a Scavenger Hunt themed birthday party when I was 8.

Sounds like this film should have been written by Stephen Sondheim. Its sounds like it was inspired by one of his infamous parties he use to throw. Didn't Herbert Ross or Anthony Perkins help him write out details for these events?

I remember this movie! It was something of an attempt to recreate It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and while it failed to live up to its predecessor, it was still a fun little film. I loved that the dead heir was pointedly named "Milton Parker".

Anyone remember Midnight Madness (1980)?

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Slightly off topic but what are the chances Sondheim would write another screenplay? "Last of Sheila",IMO, was one of the best murder mysteries ever.
