Hello All,
I need suggestons for a comedy from the 1930's/1940's (maybe 1950's). A wonderful character actress was slated to play the role of Madame Arcati in BLITHE SPIRIT, but the production rights were withdrawn.
Her company is struggling to find an alternative....preferably, with a significant role for her, and with a least a few more women.
They have already considered Harvey and The Philadelphia Story.
I came up with:
The Curious Savage
You Can't Take It With You
The Solid Gold Cadillac
Can you provide anymore ideas?

Would she consider the Shirley Booth roles?
Mabel in Three Men on a Horse
Ruth in My Sister Eileen
Leona in Time of the Cuckoo
