Senator Santorum's spokeman GAY???

Infamous gay hater Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum's Communications Director admitted today that, yes, he's gay.

The Senator has previously equated homosexuality with "Man on Dog sex" and has said that Gay marriage undermines Homeland Security. His Communications Director, Robert Traynham, admitted he was gay when questioned by a gay media service.

"When pressed on whether he supported the Senator's stands on lesbian and gay issues, Mr. Traynham abruptly ended the phone call by saying "Senator Santorum is a family man. I have been with Senator Santorum for eight years and I am very proud to be with him."

An attempt to follow-up with a question was met with Mr. Traynham hanging up the phone."

This is just so typical, huh? Career over self-pride. I don't get it; how does he live with himself?

He has pride over something else. Sublimating his desires as he dreams that one day he can perform analingus on the one man he considers a true hunk, the #3 Republican in the Senate, Rick Santorum. Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac for one type of queen. Think Smithers to Montgomery Burns.

You're right it makes no sense. But having it both ways is really the hallmark. The further out on the right they are, the more outrageous their black and white, right and wrong, good and evil dichotomies that they present as their worldview is, the more likely they are to be living hypocritically.

Think homo teen lover/rabid anti-gay politician Jim West. Think Jimmy Swaggart and the prostitutes. It's really endless. Generally, though, they over play their hand and the whole house of cards comes crashing down.

I wonder if he's allowed to visit with the home-schooled Santorum brood? Maybe he comes in on Martin Luther King day -- dressed as Mrs. Anna, he'd be damned cute in those hoop skirts, sort of Flotila deBarge-esque -- for a lesson in identity politics.

In an interview with the Associated Press, the Senator suggested that the government has the right to prohibit gay and lesbian individuals from expressing love for each other physically. "The idea is that the state doesn't have rights to limit individuals' wants and passions. I disagree with that," said the Senator, "I think we absolutely have rights because there are consequences to letting people live out whatever wants or passions they desire. And we're seeing it in our society."



This is no joke--he believes this facist crap, and it is frightening. But the post about the "dichotomy" of the right is spot-on...

Of course you are correct Namo-- see what happens when I get distracted by work while posting? Senator Strom Thurmond was the father of Essie May Washington-Williams, the daughter of a black maid employed by Thurmonds' parents.

Interesting trivia; Thurmond married his last wife when he was 66 years old; she was 23. Thurmond used to brag that he ran for president before his wife was born, but that was an exaggeration. She would have been 3 during his first Presidential campaign.

As far as I know, Helms has fathered no illigimate children of any race. My apologies!
