i just saw it. it was really good. i love joss wheadon! anyway, you should go see it and then rent Firefly (the show that started it, just for those of you that don't know).

Firefly was, in my opinion, a deeply flawed show, but it also had a ton of potential, especially character-wise. And how can you not like Jayne? :P I've seen posters for Serenity in the Tube, so I shouldn't have to wait too long to see it.

Just saw Serenity and really liked it. I was a huge Buffy/Angel fan but never saw Firefly. That didn't have any impact really on my understanding of this film. Very entertaining movie. I may have to go watch the series now, though I know I'll be disappointed at an incomplete show...

I thought it was only so so,imo, the special effects were sub standard, the story kind of drug on and the action scenes(while had there moments), just didn't really fascinate me, another big budget Hollywood movie set just to rake in dough.

Actually, not very big budget. That's why the effects weren't amazing. :)
