Posted: 8/17/04 at 4:17pm"Don't get on the boat if you get sea sick," as my Granny always said. It is your friend's problem. If he can't and won't be with smoker he has no business starting anything up. It is never a good idea to go into a relationship with a "I can change him" attitude. Just expect this person to always be a somker and then decide if you could live with that.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 4:19pmlol, d, there were more than a few occassions when mrs. mambo suggested that our lives would be significantly more peaceful should i just have a cigarette. fortunately those times passed without one of us killing the other and now we can laugh about it. and then look at each other suspiciously. and then laugh about it. and then eye the cutlery.

Posted: 8/17/04 at 4:23pmOnce before in my life - about 17 years ago when I was in the military - I quit for one whole week. I came into work and found on my drafting table not a pack, not a carton but a case of smokes with a note on top that said 'please smoke.'
