He's the only Fox news person who has any integrity. I remember when Hannity interviewed him when he was in New Orleans after Katrina. Smith was talking about how there was no help and how desperate the situation was. Hannity tried to paint a better picture and Smith snapped back that there was no way to spin the story to make it favorable for the administration.
And now, according to the text and video at "Crooks and Liars", "Smith got into it with William "the bloody" Kristol two days ago. He sees the politicking by Bush over Iraq because it’s election season reprehensible...
Smith: It’s horrifying that you just said we can’t do anything until after the election. We’ve got men and women over there who are dying everyday and you just said that the man that you support (Bush) can’t do anything even though you believe he knows it’s wrong.—What is worse than that Bill Kristol?
Kristol: I think it’s hard to ask Bush to do something in the middle of this election season…
Smith: That’s a disgusting and repulsive reality Bill, you have to admit that."

I love Shepard Smith. I was surprised to learn he had a criminal past. But, whatever, he's still hot.

I don't agree with that. Not sure why people who read the news have to have any integrity; but as they go, I think Bill Hemmer makes every other newscaster look illiterate!

What criminal past? It says, All charges against him were later dropped. In order to be a criminal, don't you have to be charged and convicted or has that changed?
Shep Smith does a great job.
He can be forgiven for screaming while he was in New Orleans.

Didjya know that everyone's least favorite Exile in Xenia was driven to such extreme anger by media criticism of the executors of the governmental system that allowed people in such extreme need be left to wallow for days and days in New Orleans and that the anger inspired him to start his much ignored web blahhhhhg?
It's true, it's all right there in his special one year anniversary post about himself. Read by very few, ignored by most.

"He can be forgiven for screaming while he was in New Orleans."
Most people that were screaming in New Orleans were ignored. How nice to think that he can be forgiven.

Well he doesn't have a criminal record, but in the past, he was arrested for a crime. No harm done though and it's good the charges were dropped. He's an excellent newsman.

He screamed at that ignorant Hannity because it was the only way he could get a word in, and he told the truth to the Fox News audience, something that they don't usually hear.

What Chanticleer meant specifically was that the media screaming that "something must be done to help these people" (meaning those stranded on their roofs and watching bloated corpses float by and stuff) was WAY OVER THE TOP and "biased" and it so angered him he started A BLAHHHHG OF ONE: One writer, one reader, one reprint of sanctioned talking points.
JP is um, how to put it dimplomatically, echoing those sentiments.

I love it when you're diplomatic, Namo - it's so Shirley Temple Black.
I'm new, are some board members usually so "Twilight Zoned" in their responses?
The comment section on that blog post are very interesting. Someone must be reading it.
