I was part of the house staff for a season that ended last week and I can't seem to shake off the blues from it being over. I want to physically wrap myself around the very last bit of scenery they carry off. For the past week I filled my schedule with hanging out with friends, birthday celebrations, museum visits, shopping, dance classes, a broadway show, seeing movies, etc. But I was still unable to shake the blues! I've been a part of a bunch of shows, but I've NEVER been in a funk quite like this one. Any suggestions? I know this all sounds so rediculously lame, but the fact is, the past few months were amazing and I am very sad to see it go.

It will probably just take some time to get used to. I was the same way when college ended. You get used to something and then it suddenly changes. Maybe you are feeling this way because you enjoyed working there a lot more than with past things from your life? Are you working with this group again in the future?

Sometimes you have one of those exceptional experiences that are hard to let go of. But, you learn to move on and sometime down the road you will have an equally extraordinary time.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
