Hi all,

I know its probably me just being dumb but i understand the ipods work with itunes. My question is do you have to pay for the songs on itunes or once you have an ipod are the songs free?? I guess i just dont understand. If they arent then isnt an ipod just an expensive CD player that saves you from carrying cds?? Please help. lol. Thanks in advance.

when you buy the ipod, you still have to pay for the songs. So yes its so you can store all of your cds on it and its worth it. love my ipod!

If you want to get songs from the iTunes store, it's going to cost you money. If you just want to import songs from CDs you already own, there's obviously no charge.

Like they said, I-Pod is just a device to store your songs. It's a lot easier than a cd player, though, because it's so much more portable. You can put songs from your cds on I-Tunes for free, and you can also buy songs from the I-Tunes download store. I think they have a free download of the day, which is cool (although it's not always a song you'd want). It's also easy to buy individual songs if you only like a few songs on a particular cd, which I think is convenient.
As I do on all I-Pod threads, because I can't afford one and would really like one, I'm pimping my referral thread for a free I-Pod. So click, sign up for an offer, recruit some people, and get a free I-Pod! (I promise it's not a scam).
