Sing-A-Longs

Anyone ever been to any of these shows? So far, I've attended Sing-A-Long Sound of Music and most recently Sing-A-Long Wizard of OZ. I know a year ago (?) they were doing the SAL Wiz of Oz in NYC. I saw mine last night at Mass Moca. It was delightful. With our goodie bags and costumes donned, we had a great time, my friends and I. I was Punk Rawk Wicked Witch, my friend Nicole was Gypsy Glinda, and my other friend was Streetwalker Dorothy. She had the best costume...instead of the blue plaid dress, she wore a red sparkling one (like the shoes) and looked like a true slut. Way to take a classic and botch it, eh?

I don't typically like audience participation shows. I saw an amateur production of "The Wizard of Oz" last year. After the show, they made everyone sing "Over The Rainbow" and "America the Beautiful." Needless to say, it was not my favorite theatrical experience. That, and the Lion couldn't sing!
