Site Error?

Sorry, guys, I know a thread for site errors exists. I've seen it before. I can't get a hit in the search bar, though, so I made a new thread.

I'm having an issue putting up a new avatar. Every time I try, I get a page error and in the top left corner, the site states that I'm logged out and can either log in or register. However, if I then click one of the message boards, I'm still logged in. I don't know if this is why it's an error or if it's due to something else. At first, I tried to do something the same size as my last avatar, but when that didn't work, I tried a 100x100 avatar under 40 pixels (LJ-size) for in case the settings here had changed, but still no luck.

Is this something being worked on at the moment?

Any help would be lovely :) Thank you!

I get that a lot. Go to the screen where it looks like you're still logged in and then go to the top left and hit the "sign out" button (Underneath your New Messages count). Usually that does it for me.

Another thing to check is that the intended upload must be a jpg format.

I've recently had the issue where it showed the pic I uploaded, then gave me a completely unrelated (no even mine) picture as my actual thumbnail! That, apparently, had to do with the size of my photo. When I reduced it, it worked properly.
