Situation: Comedy (the Sean Hayes Bravo thingy)

Aww. I found Project Greenlight (also on Bravo) more boring than this. I'm obsessed with television comedy as well as Hollywood so I dunno. I thought it was well done, I was rooting for different people, felt involved. Hmm.
Oh--agree about Sean. He seemed like the least important person involved on the show.

I'm glad someone posted this! I thought it was incredibly dull- especially when the entire second hour was given over to "One Camera/Three Camera" agonizing which HAS to be the most pointless topic and completely alienating to the audience.
I wanted to watch it as a former employee of mine was one of the creators. Sean Hayes was basically used as a lure to get people to watch. I missed the first hour-- did he so ANYTHING other than the little ins & outs of the commercial breaks?
The other flaw of the show was that we don't get to see anything about the Sitcom being created-- so we have nothing to root for and no reason to get involved. Plus, it seemed like they were so hell-bent on being a competition: "We'll decide who has done the best job of cutting this down to a 15 minute show and THAT team will pick the producer they wanted." Who cares? Plus, since we have no idea of what the script is like, we have no idea who did a better job.
I wondered if Bravo had bought this show and figured they had to give it an airing since Hayes was involved. I can't imagine anyone watching it.

Posted: 7/28/05 at 4:40pmThe people at NBC seem to have their heads up their a$$es, trying to fit all concepts into the same old format....no wonder the sitcom is dying, this is anti-creativity. They should all be fired. And what the hell is Sean Hayes doing there??

This is just a testament to the way too much advertising backfires. I saw this promo Lord knows how many times, but I got so used to it that I never even took notice to when the show was going to be coming on!
Bravo and abcfamily are the worst for playing the same 3 commercials over and over...
Glad to see I didnt really miss anything by forgetting to watch!

Posted: 7/28/05 at 5:27pmDid Hayes appear in either show at all? Other than bookending the commercials in a silent 5 second spot, I didn't see him at all, but as I said I missed the first episode.
