Wow. He still sounds great. And that gorgeous song never gets old. It's a shame he didn't have a more prolific recording career.


You guys have probably seen this video. Someone was taping a random busker singing "Smalltown Boy" when Jimmy happened to, just by chance, come by while walking his dog. Such a fun moment.

Being of the younger generation, I'd never heard that song before until Sharon Corr performed it in concert a few months ago here in Atlanta. I re-traced back to the original version and became hooked on it. Such a moving song even years later. In comparison with the original, his voice hasn't aged a bit.
