re: snow!

It snowed near me, too. It was only about an inch, and school let out an hour early, but I'll definitely be in school tomorrow.

Blah. I'm going to have to go shovel now.
I have my books and my poetry to protect me...

re: snow!

I really hate it when it snows here because classes hardly ever get cancelled..we live on campus so the figure it's not a big deal for us to just walk to class. A word of advice for you all who aren't in college yet...don't skip classes early in the semester because trust me you won't wanna haul your ass out of bed to walk to class once the snow starts...well actually that kind of applies to everyone! Oh and I'm the genius who goes to school in upstate NY and didn't bring snow boots! Yay for me!

re: snow!

Snow's always tricky at college. On the one hand, it's always fun to have classes cancelled, but then (and I don't know how other schools deal with it, but here) you have to deal w/ loosing a study day to make up for it, and it sucks to loose those when it's getting down to the wire (because either you have studying to do HA!, or you loose a free day off when it's not all snowy and crappy out and you can actually go out and do something fun on the day off!) Tough call, because spontanious days off are always kind of exciting in an odd sort of way!

re: snow!

I'm not the biggest fan of snow either. Admittedly, it is really pretty when it first falls, and the trees look really beautiful, but then after the cars get it all filthy and the sidewalks and parking lots are all full of slushy snow, the novelty kind of wears off. Though it's always somewhat more tolerable in the city, because there's no shoveling etc. That's always a royal pain in the ass!

re: snow!

I wish it would snow here in LA! But NO! It's just FREEZING. And I mean it. There's frost on the cars and houses in the mornings. If it's this cold we should at least get something pretty out of it. Not just snot!

re: snow!

It snowed in CT -- my mother called me at the office to tell me.... meanwhile, in NYC it was just cold, damp, rainy and windy. Meh. lol
