Anyone here ever severely crack/fall during a performance.

Knowing that your a good/legitimate singer, has anyone here ever cracked/gone off pitch before in a performance. Or, as a dancer has anyone ever fallen out of a pirouette/landed wrong on a jump, etc.

I love hearing blooper stories :)

I used to dance when I was little, and there was this leap involved and if I had leaped a few inches further I might have fallen off the stage.

I've cracked, but in a group performance, I was pretty upset about that.
And I've messed up harmonies before.

And this story has nothing to do with falling or cracking but it is a blooper...
My last concert in chorus went like this:
I was accompanying on piano, and we had our music this time (usually we memorize our songs for performances). There was a 2-measure rest and then the tenors/basses were supposed to come in...30 seconds or so later, they still haven't come in, and the subsitute teacher and I are just like um....
we eventually got back into the song
but that was pretty funny/sad.
Funny thing is I had a tendency to mess up at least once when I'd accompany the chorus, but the one time I didn't mess up, they did.

I fall at least once each week in my dance classes. Never on stage (yet) thankfully. Once my tap shoe didn't get buckled quickly enough (during a quick change) and it flew off during a kick line into the girl in front of me... oops.

We just finished Kiss Me, Kate at school, and I had to sing "I Hate Men." Well, that entire song is basically right where my voice changes from belt to head, so I did some verses in my belt voice, and some in my legit voice. I'm pretty sure it sounded horrible.

Cait, I'm so jealous you got to do KMK! Anyway, IHM isn't supposed to sound great, but Patricia Morrison did it in head and Marin Mazzie did it in mix.
