From the London Mirror:
But the 47-year-old mum of two was showing all the signs of a face and body pushed too far and too hard as she arrived in Paris for a fashion show by French designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
Her skin was stretched taut across her razor-sharp cheekbones, and her chin was puckered in a most unflattering manner.
To make matters worse, it appeared that Madge also has the beginnings of a receding hairline.
A fellow guest at the show said: "She looked pretty rough. Madonna usually looks so groomed, so it was a bit of a shock to see her so ropey."

Posted: 1/27/06 at 7:34pmI think they should just give her a break. I'm not really a fan, but she is 47 after all.

But so was this one! That's the face my cat makes when she smells something yucky.

I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

It's definitely just the photo, as many of the other paparazzi photos of her at the same event look fine:
Not to say that Madonna always looks like a spring flower (there have years of unflattering pictures of her wearing a tracksuit coming out of the gym), but of course she's gonna dolly herself up for a photographer-heavy event like Gaultier's fashion show.

She may be a bit botoxed...but who are we to judge?
The woman is older than my mother, after all.

Week older than my mother. But do you really want your mom looking and acting like that?
If I was Lourdes, I would die of shame. After milking that cash cow all the way to the bank.

so sorry to break the news to all you critics but the fact of the matter is: we will ALL get there some day.
madonna looks great for her age.
some of you need to grow up - - -
MENTALLY

Posted: 1/27/06 at 8:36pmNow, Kitz--that is just ridiculous. Do you really think that once you become a mother, you lose the right to be pretty or even sexy? As an artist, does being a mother mean you should edit your art? There is no right answer about how you feel you would answer those questions, but let's not place judgement on others. And since Madonna became a mother, things have tamed down greatly--much tamer than say Cher to name another aging pop diva who hasn't slowed down the sex appeal.

I've gotten used to the pretty mom thing. My mom's 43 and people say we look identical. All the guys on my swim team are always saying, "Kate, your mom is hot" it used to bother me... but now i realize since we look so alike now, i'll look young when i'm in my 40's.
Madonna looks great, everyone has unflattering photos

I think Madonna has aged VERY gracefully. Lourdes has nothing to be ashamed about. Her mother is hip, youthful and intelligent.
Remember: it could have been way worse. (**points to Michael Jackson, born the same year as Madonna. And he has kids, too.**)
