I tried to comment on the blog itself, but it wouldn't let me! Oh well - did anyone read this post from Sofa Snark about the remake of 10 Things I Hate About You?! I have high hopes, since the original director is back, and so is Larry Miller, who played the dad in the movie. Is anyone else going to be watching? It starts tomorrow night at 8.

It's a series, not a "re-make".
Only an idiot would re-make a Heath Ledger movie this soon.

Yep, it's most definitely a series...I've been watching it now for the past few weeks. It IS inspired by the movie, even if it's not a "remake," as you say. After having seen three episodes, I'd say it's loosely based on the movie, but I'm actually starting to like some of the TV characters more than their film counterparts, specifically Kat. I think she's so great in this role, definitely the breakout star!

I'm finding I'm actually enjoying the re-imaging. Not a fan of who they got to play Cameron, and Bianca is way annoying. But the guy they got to play Patrick is crazy hot (he's got those good gene's as Gregory Peck's grandson, I believe). And I'm liking Kat a also. It's good fluff for half an hour.

I just don't get why ABC "Family" is much more "adult" than the actual ABC network.

What CW demographic are we talking about, exactly? We're talking about the network that cancelled Veronica Mars for perpetually low ratings and whose "big hit", Gossip Girl, gets...exactly the same numbers. Which is to say 2.5 million or so per episode.
As for ABC Family...I mostly know it as the channel that cancelled The Middleman, for which I'll never forgive it.
