Sofia Coppola and Movie Soundtracks

I don't know who Sofia Coppola coordinates her film soundtracks with, but she is a genius.

Take the Marie Antoinette soundtrack and how she uses this alternative style of music to contrast with the proper, yet twisted Court of Versailles.

And to have a whole soundtrack done by AIR for the Virgin Suicides.

She really is a genius.

I wouldn't say that her music selection makes her a genius, but I think she's a very gifted director.

Say what you will about MARIE ANTOINETTE, but the film 10000% succeeded in doing what Coppola wanted to do.

I really enjoyed it. I actually own it on DVD.
