I apologize if this is painfully obvious to everyone, and I admit I've only been posting for a short while, but what's up with the little envelopes on the side of the topics - some are open and gray, some are red and closed - what does it all mean??? (I've given up trying to figure this out)... Thank you!!

There are many threads posted on this..as I had started one in the past...and never has there been an answer.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Good question, I have no clue.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

Other than a red envelope meaning it's a hot topic as determined by the number of posts it receives, I've never been able to figure it out. I just ignore them. It's a wasted feature, as far as I'm concerned.

Open envelopes have messages you haven't seen.
Closed have nothing new.
Red is a hot topic.
Blue is normal...

Thank you - I was beginning to think it was some secret code, and since I'm a newbie, I was never gonna get it!
