Sondheim on Inside in the Actor's Studio?

I was just looking through Sondheim's IMDB page- he was on IAS in 1994. I doubt they'll be rerunning that episode anytime soon, but did anybody see it? Seems kind of weird that they'd have him.

Well, sure he's better at his respective job, but he's not an actor.

And I didn't know he wrote songs for Airplane!. Cool. I <3 IMDB.

He actually was an actor, but quit acting when he got a review that said he was too convincing.

Right, but that was in college. I don't think he's played anyone but himself in TV or film.

Okay, I've been sitting here for the last ten minutes trying to figure out what song Sondheim had in "Airplane"...it's been years since I've seen it, but doesn't Ethel Merman pop up in a scene and sing a snippet of "Everything's Coming Up Roses?"

Ooh, that would make sense. It's funny, though- IMDB usually says if they just use one specific song.
