OK, so I have non-musical recommendations of traveling life but how about showtunes that have to do with traveling, life on the road, touring and long-distance relationships.

Shake it up a bit--try Creedence Clearwater Revivals's "Traveling Band." There is no better or catchier summary of life on the road. Get away from showtunes for a little while.
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

Merrily We Roll Along is a great travel song. But it may be difficult to do as a solo.
