Not much of a shocker, especially if you've read all the "National Enquirer spoilers" the past few months.
At least he went out with a bang.
The first half and the last 10 minutes were the best they've done in a long time.

I doubt if anyone is "shocked" that Chris didn't live through the season, but the way he died was a surprise in the contrast of the normality of the accident and the way Tony made sure he did not survive. Add that to the fact that it happened in the first 15 minutes of the episode. And once again, poor Paulie.
