Thinking of taking a trip to Staten Island for a matinee in early December, which will mean taking the ferry back in the evening. I'm very comfortable getting around midtown, but I don't know lower Manhattan very well, so I'm wondering - is the subway station for South Ferry in the same building as the ferry terminal? If not, how far away is it? These may seem like silly questions, but this out-of-stater would really appreciate your help!! Thanks!
the 1 train is in the same building while the Whitehall station is right next door and the Bowling Green station is 2 or 3 blocks away.
Any other questions feel free to PM
Take the 1/9, and there are signs everywhere when you get off at South Ferry directing you to the ferry.
Thanks,guys!
I knew I could count on you!
OMG! Someone is actually traveling to my crummy little Island? Awwww. lol I feel like I live on that damn ferry.
OH, taking the 1 train back to the ferry, you have to be in one of the first 5 cars in the front of the train past the conductor, otherwise you can't get out at that station. I'm telling you now to prevent the panick I see on most people's faces who don't realize until the last minute.
if you need an escort, i live right near the ferry.
