Did anyone catch this on the Oscars telecast? It was so funny.

Well we know the truth about the real Spartacus...

missed it, damn it. At our party the commercials were muted for more catty gossip.
Perhaps some WWW-savvy researcher can find a URL to post here?

No dolly, you are mistaken. I am Spartacus.

Yenta, that WAS me in the commercial--different camera angles made me look a tad different.
However, the truth of the matter is: I am Spartacus.

Dollypop: I didn't recognize you! The camera does add 10 lbs. Apparently it also knocked 20 years off your age, thickened your hair, and gave you massive muscles. Yup,it sure was you.

Yenta, if you keep that up you're gonna get b1tch-slapped from here to the curb. The reason is simple: I am Spartacus.

Dollypop dearest, Please do not use the term b1tch slap and my name in the same sentence. It is so tacky and unamazing. It is almost the festival of Purimwhen we read the Book of Esther. One of the characters is named Haman and he is evil and wicked. When we read it and come to his name, we scream and use noisemakers just to blot it out. This year, I am going to substitute your name for Haman.

Yenta, I am well aware of the traditions involved with Purim. Just because I'm a goy doesn't mean you had to go therough the whole magilla of explaining the story of Hamen.
BTW: Do you think it was possible that Hamen was a Homo?

I think he may have as in that time period homosexuality was popular but never spoken about. By the way, do you like Hamantaschen?

I don't know I've never tasched him....

If you found prunes or poppyseeds then you tasched him.

I'm crazy about Hamentaschen. The prune Hamentaschen is my favorite. There's a bakery near the Board of Ed offices on Court Street that makes great ones!

If I can make it to the BWW get together I will bring you some of my homemade ones. I do traditional prune but also make all chocolate ones, raspberry chocolate, Reeses and sometomes apricot.

Unfortunately I won't be at the BWW Get-Together. After checking the calendar I realized that it's Palm Sunday--and the beginning of Holy Week. I'll be having dinner with my family and then keeping a low profile until Easter Sunday. Sorry to disappoint you.

No hamantaschen for you! I figured you would realize that it was Palm Sunday
