From the NY Times review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban...

"...and Maggie Smith shows up now and again to shake her head and purse her lips."

How appropriate, eh? Amazinly, they missed mentioning the scene where she shakes her head and purses her lips while holding a mojito.

there's a great mojito to be had on the block across the street from my apartment. It ain't cheap...but then again, I am so it cancels out.

Oh yes, I did.

I'm suprised that they let him use a computer. They only get one hour for excercise in the yard before the guard blows the whistle, then it's back to the cell, with his new best-friend and roommate Bruno.

Thanks Dame. I'm still learning the rules and system here. I've been PMing questions to a couple people at a pathetic rate. So although I may be a regular hussy, I'm not sure I've fully graduated from newbie-status yet.

And ckeaton, he did double-credits this year, so he's graduating next spring. And he's still going strong with his ugly girlfriend. About 14 months, I think. I have no idea how he keeps breaking out of jail. Maybe he's bribing the guards with promises of a better life in Mexico, or hacking into the payroll systems for them or something.

Floweryfriends,
Not really any rules here except to respect the eneygy of the other posters and have fun. You will start to learn who the crazys are ( Mr Roxy among others) and then deal with them accordingly. But you will find most people here are lots of fun.

For myself, my partner and I just watched The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie - she does alot more than shake her head and purse her lips in that!

I love that movie. One of my favorites as a kid. The song "Jean" that was used in the film I aways loved, but now that I'm 'in my prime'...even more meaningful. Maggie was indeed wonderful in this film.

Just got back from Harry Potter. Unfortunately, the review isn't far from the truth. Dear Maggie had under ten lines. She did some brilliant head shaking and lip pursing, though.

Better than the first two. Worth seeing. They left out a lot from the book, but I suppose there's no way around that. And the words b**** and h*** are used, which I found to be both entertaining and disturbing, as it is geared toward small children. Ah well, it was good for a laugh.

I can't wait to see it tomorrow. The director is my favorite working director. Everything he films is just gorgeous. Did you notice if this film looked better than the first two? Was it more colorful?

Definitely. The cinematograpy was exqisite. The sets were enchanting. And the computer animation was a lot less noticable than in the first two.

I'm SO glad to hear that. If you saw either A LITTLE PRINCESS or GREAT EXPECTATIONS he puts a lot of thought into choosing the colors for the film, making them look like paintings in a way. He's a true artist.
