Why does this phrase give me the heebie-jeebies? It is irrational, I know, but every time I hear it or read it I want to hurl. I feel the same about the word "wicked" when used as an adjective to describe something that it just should not be applied to. "Oh, it is WICKED hot!"
Anyone with me on this?
Rant complete.
Isn't that the same phrase Namo has railed against in the past? Did your mothers used to say it while they had you locked in the closet with no food for weeks at a time or something? Why the strong reaction?
Once again, Rath, read the fncking post. I SAID it was IRRATIONAL. Is that too big of a word for you?

Now, Rath. You're the one who's been so forthcoming with the "my mentally ill mother didn't love me enough" issues, not me.
"Spot on" always makes me want to "shout it out."
Just checking.

She wonders why she's so not liked. She's just continuing the cycle of abuse.
And sometimes the adjective "wicked" is itself, spot on!
I'm just giving a "shout out" to all my homies in this thread, yo.
I have an irrational fear of horses. Actually, just their big, freaky eyes. Just thought I'd share.
Oh, and I prefer Tide to Go, yo!
I had a friend who used to have nightmares about the TriStar logo, when that flying horse "came at him" on the screen.
He would cover his eyes.
He was 40.
Sorry, Namo. I feel nothing but sorry for you.
Oh, and a little amused. I'm wicked that way.

Sueleen, you are wickud kewl!
Seriously, where I live, "wicked" is pretty much an accepted substitue for the word "very." I used to CRINGE when I heard it. I've since gotten used to it, which is scary!
Did someone mention horses?

"Spot on" doesn't bother me nearly as much as the word "random" does. It's as though the word has a completly different meaning than the one I thought it had for 30+ years.
I agree 100%, Kringas.
"Spot on! Apply directly to your forehead..."
Kringas, that was such a random post.
Taz, you couldn't pay me enough to open that link.

Thank you, Rath.
And I'm going to show you spot on, B12...
You're probably better off Shamey.
It's a trailer for a movie. A documentary that was shown at Sundance this year called Zoo.
I don't even know what to think about it.
I just knew no good could come from me watching that clip.
Oh dear. Thanks for that, taz. I couldn't resist... I wonder if this is from the case a couple of years ago here in WA state, or a different one with the same outcome.
I won't look. You can't tempt me. :-P
You can add it to the pile with "pitch perfect," "toothsome" and "over-exaggerate"
