Demi Moore's firdst name is Demetria. Personally, I don;t see why people change their names. My family's last name was Rabinowitz when the lived in Russia. But they had it changed { probably by immigration at Ellis Island} to Rabin. I like ethnic sounding names . People shouldn't change their names to fit in. Be proud of where you come from!
Norbert's last name used to be Da Butz, but he took out the Da.
yeah...I can beat All ya..my name is osbourne. Do you KNOW how bad that sucks?
If I were to take a stage name, I would take Bernadine Foster, because Bernie is unique but too boyish and my last name is really ugly.
I believe Demi Moore's name is Demi Moore, although the Moore is her first husband's last name. Is that not correct?
Demi Moore = Demetria Gene Guynes prior to her first husband. That'll be one dollar, please. :)

I'd stick with my name if I got famous... i don't know if i always like it... but it is kind of a star-quality-like name (or so i've been told by many and think so myself quite a tad)
Maya T. Adnawot
That was going to be my stage name when I was in 8th grade.
Now I just use it to sign up for stuff on the internet.
haha Flowery-that's good.
The one reason I'd change my name is the fact that there is a good chance someone in equity(or SAG for that matter) already has it. In which case I would just add my middle initial.
I was going to use the stage name Jon Bon Jovi but it's apparently taken.
Piss, back to the drawing board.
If I ever have children, I'm totally going to give them middle names like Viana, Xiare, and Zebediah, just so they'll have a cool middle initial in case they need to to join SAG.

I am not giving myself a "star name" I just really hate my middle name because I am Jewish - but it works well as a last name
I've always thought that if I had to take a stage name, I would just use what my last name (which is VERY ethnic and impossible for people to pronounce) means, so it would be "Hunter" which isn't a bad last name really.

By the way, Jon Bon Jovi's real name is Jon Bongiovi. He just changed the spelling to make it less Italian and more cool.

hmm interesting thread.....I've been toying with the idea of a stage name, only because my last name is quite Ukrainian and difficult to pronounce correctly....and when it's said wrong, it sounds VERY lewd!
How do you really go about it though? Making a stage name stick?
I plan on keeping my name. If I make any kind of name for myself I want everyone who said I couldn't to know that I did!
Judy Mulva?
Personally, I'm changing my name to my stage name... 'Tits McGee'.
I was given a Stage Name...
At my college I would always turn the pages for our accompainst during recitals and concerts, etc. So she called me Paige Turner.. It has stuck and now even the President's Wife calls me Paige.. I don't think she knows my real name. I wouldn't be suprised that at graduation that she makes them say Paige Turner.. Fun Times

Haha CKeaton!
Think more... a variation on "horny".
I can just imagine the tabloids!
Think of a 7 year old coming home from school and asking her parents what "horny" meant. Yeah.
Now I just say- if the shoe fits, wear it!
But the tabloids might have too much fun- it does get boring up North here!
