Posted: 1/18/05 at 11:20pmThat's what I was thinking! DD is cheaper, so I go with them.

Posted: 1/18/05 at 11:30pmI live in Vancouver so we only have Starbucks and not Dunkin' Donuts--plus Starbucks is such a Pacific Northwestern pretentious yuppie spot, so naturally I have to choose that one. (I cringe at the $4/cup prices, and then pay it so I look cool. Who am I kidding.)

Starbucks if I can afford it.
Dunkin Donuts is where I usually end up...cuz there's one near my dance studio and my spandex usually gets me a free bagel.

Posted: 1/19/05 at 12:07amStarbucks, of course! I get a lot of gift cards from my students (thanks, kids!), so that keeps the cost down as long as I don't run out of those little pieces of plastic. White chocolate mocha -- YUM!!

Posted: 1/19/05 at 12:40amStarbucks! I don't even like DD's doughnuts! However, there is a convenience store from Philadelphia (they're in New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia, as well), called WAWA (Indian name for Canadian Geese that settled in the region in Philadelphia) that has great coffee, and is my second choice if I'm feeling too cheap to pay for Starbucks.

I love me the Starbucks!
#15re: Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts?
Posted: 1/19/05 at 2:11amThe bitterness, I think, is because Starbucks over-roasts their beans and loses a bit of the caffeine potency in their coffee, unfortunately. I actually kind of like the bitterness, but that's just me. If I want strong wake-me-up coffee, I make it myself. If I want specialty coffees, I want me my Bucks!

Posted: 1/19/05 at 9:56amI vote neither, if Dunkin Donuts wants to have as many stores in Manhattan as Starbucks - these big corporations are ruining america

Posted: 1/19/05 at 1:05pmI'm pretty sure Starbucks failed in Israel because the coffee wasn't good enough. Don't try to give an Israeli coffee addict subpar stuff. :)

Dunkin' Donuts for their Hazelnut Coffee and yummy donuts.
Starbucks for anything with espresso (I'm addicted to the Pumpkin Latte) and their chai tea!
