Some stars were removed for construction & will eventually be replaced once the construction is finished

Some of those removed are Sinatra & Cary Grant

I'm curious to know which stars crumbled.

Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy I can't go on tonight

They'll just replace them with some nobody's hand prints and pretend like nothing ever happened. Thus, this is why Lassie's prints look a little smaller and squirrel-like or why Katharine Hepburns seem a bit bigger and squarish- like, say, a construction workers.

You're confusing the walk of fame with Mann's Chinese Theater.

Yep, these are just stars with the person's name on it (like in the picture next to the article).

These are NOT the hands and autographs in cement. These are the stars that are on the sidewalks that are very replaceable. Besides, if this is just temporary why is this news? I thought maybe they were "removing" certain less popular stars like Cagney and Grant to make room for Hillary Duff and Zack Efron.
This is really no big deal.

PEACE.

They are always removing them for construction work.

Ah, well I thank you for the enlightening explanation.

However, I did hear that the practice of cementing at least one body part will take effect when Efron gets his own honors bestowed to him, much to the delight of BroadwayWorld.

Right - like Efron will be able to afford the maintenence fees he has to pay in upkeep.

I heard Ryan Seacrest's is in front of a public toilet - is that true?

No No No- Ryan Seacrest's star is right by the In-n-Out Burger. Ryan Seacrest himself can be found loitering outisde the public toilet.

I do not know why this is even news. AND...in the papers around here, the headlines were such that one thought they were stolen.

'STARS REMOVED FROM WALK OF FAME!!"

Then you read the article and go, uh, and??

This should never have been news. We do the same thing here when there is construction......no big deal
