redhot - your next project should be a recording of NEW Christmas songs - there aren't enough out there and with the radio stations playing All Christmas All The Time, it gets extremely repetitive. Seriously - I'm really done with "Reggae Christmas."

Rath - are there seriously any good NEW christmas songs? I happen to love the oldies-but-goodies myself - with the exception of the stuff on Nancy LaMott's christmas CD which kills me everytime I listen to it!

Yes, there are some good new ones. I love the Mariah Christmas album, although I know joey disagrees. I'm crazy about All I Want For Christmas by The Vance Group or whatever it's called too.

But mostly it's crap. Reggae Christmas, Last Christmas (George Michael), and the worst and most overplayed of all, Wonderful Christmastime (Paul McCartney). Add in Celine Dion and Josh Groban BOTH having recorded horrific (Celine's is overblown and Josh's is gruelingly unemotional) versions of O Holy Night...

One of my favorites is the Christmas waltz, which was recorded (at least) by the Carpenters at one point. also I'll be Home for Christmas and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - as you can see - I go for the melancholy holiday songs - I'm the king of ballads (as I'm sure you know by now - lol)...give me a good song that makes me weep anyday over some swingy up-tempo - I just don't feel that stuff...

I do like I'll Be Home for Christmas because I sing it well , and of course Judy singing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is amazing. I didn't know we were going back that far - if we are, then please put on the Streisand Christmas Album!!!

I'm getting sad now. In about 35 minutes I have to take off for the day, and after that I won't even be near a computer until the end of the year. Its gonna be really emotional for me tonight to do the show for what may be the final time. I've had a great time and I hope for more opportunities to share this part of myself with my friends and anyone else who wishes to share the love!
