Hey guys! I am writing my story ideas for the school newspaper. Does anyone have any ideas on a good theatre story? I did Disney on Broadway and auditioning. Does anyone have any other ideas? Revivals on Broadway? Thanks.
One quick question and I don't mean this sarcastically...don't you think that any potential sense of accomplishment and basic "job well doneness" would be so much greater if you came up with your own idea?
Sure the History of the TKTS Booth. I want to see it when it is done.

Do not post any stories on here. I worry that since Corine is a writer for a magazine she might "borrow" your work and not give you credit.

No. I actually feel the accomplishment when I write the story and it is good. It is not the idea, but the quality of the story, how I take the idea and expand on it.

Hey Jack, I finally learned the name of the publication Corine is now writing for! It's called "My Weekly Reader". I'm sure it's "curtain up and light the lights" for this magazine!

when i was in hs we actually tricked our school into thinking we were doing a comparison of matinees to evening performances that way we were able to get a field trip to see miss saigon during the day. (broadway shows were strickly forbidden as day field trips) if you do revivals do some research i know some recent books that list how many in recent years and success, but where are your from? anyone from your school or area make it to broadway?? do a story on them. good luck oh and if by chance you do one a musicals made from movies make sure you point out its not a new thing at ALL jsut more prevelant today...harks back all the way tothe 40's.
I would never steal a story Jack. Was just helping the kid out.
how technology has changed the theatre.
If you were going to do an article on revivals as you mentioned, an inetresting slant on the theme might be to look at some of the recent revivals that were considered risque or somewhat avant gard when they first were performed (JCS, Chicago).
I once helped the daughter of a friend do a paper on the portrayal of minorities in theater. How they were originally portrayed, how they have changed (we found, not much has changed)and she included something on the differences in the portrayals when the shows are written by minorities.
