Hey Guys,
As a theater and film major from SoCal, I am applying for an incredible opportunity. Travel to 15 countries for FREE this summer. Part of the journey is getting folks to watch, rate, and review my application video on YouTube.

The Video is my take off of "America's Next Top Model" and features shots from around the world as well as some shots of productions I directing as an undergrad.
If you have the time to help out a fellow college grad... watch, rate, and review!!
Happy to help you out in return!!

Come on guys! Help this girl out! Her video is very clever and it doesn't take long to make comments on youtube!

Having actually lived in several countries, not just visiting as a tourist, I don't see how 15 countries in one summer will give the participant much insight into how people actually live in those countries, or how they interrelate with the neighboring countries. It will only provide a relatively superficial glance at those countries ~ which is better than nothing. If this person develops a skill for looking beyond the surface, beyond the things tourists look for, I think this could be a rewarding experience for her. Easy to say, difficult to do.
Don't worry Jay73, this won't influence my vote on the board. I looked at other applicants there and I do like yours the best so-far. I'll go to bat for you.

KrissySim, you are so correct! There are a couple of motivations for this job-
1. Encourage students to travel abroad (obviously for longer periods of time)
2. Find the fun stories and LOCAL traditions of the places I go and to create fun videos and blogs about the things they may not know
It would be an awesome opportunity for whomever gets the gig, for sure... I am hoping to really tell the un-assumed stories of the places I go. As a theater and film graduate, it's more than just "oooh pretty architecture..." I want to know about the people, the stories that make these places amazing.
I REALLY appreciate you taking the time. It's such an amazing opportunity!!

Elphaba... it's really true!
Though technically it's a "job," so I guess I do have to pay with my time, energy and creativity... which is exactly what I want!
They pay for everything, including the video camera and laptop to do the editing while on the road!!
