It's usually my job to feed the dogs at my house, which means of course, I have to open the cans of food. Now, our electric can opener was broken. I attempted to put it together again like my mom taught me to, but alas, I failed.
I took out the manual can opener, much to my dismay. I don't know whether it was the stupid opener or the can, but the opener didn't get all of the can open. I would never open the rest of the can by hand--I've been through it. I tried using a knife--no luck.
So, I tried and tried and tried and TRIED until I hurt my wrist! My grandma had to open the rest of the can for me.
Argh, I don't like can openers.
This ends my random rant.
But the important thing is YOU DID FEED THE DOGS. RIGHT?

Pfft. Talk to me when you're left-handed, missy.

If your grandmother could do it, I believe it wasn't the can, wasn't the can opener, but you.
And with that kind of negativity the ASPCA will be watching you to make sure you don't forego the use of the manual can opener to not feed the dogs.
I love my can-opener. But it is hard to find a good-quality and friendly one.

Ya know, I can't open cans either...
I bought a left-handed manual can opener. It drives everyone crazy!
Ok, is it me or is this "banal" thread fodder? I hate all can openers. They never work.

Yes, Mamie, I fed the dogs. Why wouldn't I?
