i take such a issue with that person. if a therapy dog came to visit me that had to be pulled in a wagon, and placed on my bed, where it had no choice but to stay because if couldn't move, i would probably burst into tears and yell at his handler and probably call the ASPCA.
yeah, it sucks when you have to put your dog to sleep, especially one who you've had for so long (i had to put my 15 year old lab to sleep 2 summers ago), but there's a time when you have to stop "wow, he can't see or move or respond to me or do any of the other things he used to have fun doing... maybe he isn't happy... maybe this is not quality of life. maybe i need to think of my dog rather than myself."
i still miss molly, but i know i made the right choice.
