I have to move to a new web development application for a personal website. It was on FrontPage, but that is no longer supported by the hosting company (nor is it on my new laptop). I really do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on something that is basically a hobby at best.
Does anyone have a suggestion of a good application for a site that does not involve business transactions. One suggestion has been Kompozer, and the other has been to purchase Dreamweaver...
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I did some research on this not too long ago. From what I learned, Dreamweaver is the standard. It's user friendly, but involved enough so that you can do things that free programs can't do, if you want to.
I learned on FrontPage in school, but ended up opting for Dreamweaver for my own use. I just picked it up about a month ago and haven't had much chance to play with it. But so far I like it. You can download a trial version at Adobe's website and take it for a test drive.
I like WindyCity almost as much as FrontPage.
Thanks arts. I am reluctant to spend the $400 dollars or so, but who knows.
