Suggestions for a comedic monologue from a "period play"?

Hi all,

I am auditioning for AADA summer program and need to perform two monologues. Do you have any suggestions for a dramatic monologue from a "period play"? I'm a female in my late 20's.

Thanks so much for your help!I've been researching plays for a couple of months now, but I have a hard time identifying what is "comedic".

hey - i see that no one has responded to your question...have you had any luck finding monologues? i'm in the same boat - auditioning for the same summer program at aada (i'm auditioning for la). i'm struggling more with the period piece but still need to find a monologue for both...any suggestions?

I suggest you have a look through Arthur Pinero and George Bernard Shaw's work.

Try something from Moliere (sp?).
