I'm quite comfortable with my pants size. I say the more comfy, the better. I'm quite low maintenance anyway, so hand me a pair of comfy jeans and a t-shirt and I'm good to go.

This is my signature.

This is what sunglasses are for, another fun summer clothing accessory. Shielding your eyes from potential blinding.

You and me both, Aigoo.

I love my 'pretty dress up, big girl' clothes, but give me my favorite pair of jeans, flip flops and a white tee shirt any day :)

I respect people who embrace their figure but there is a fine line between embracing and embarassing themselves.

I'm a fashion diva. My size 8s are feeling a bit snug. What do I do? I stop eating so much crap and I incorperate exercise into my routine. I don't want to spiral into weight gain. I'll go to a 10 and figure its not so bad, then a 12, then a 14. . .

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but eating right and exercising regularly should be something everyone does any way. It makes you feel accomplished and I think thats something everyone should feel every day. Even if its just half an hour. If only society would market that instead of eating disorders and doctored photos. . .

As a large person myself (A size 14? Many pounds away...), I know I won't look so hot in size 6 miniskirts and tank tops. I just bought my first tank top in YEARS, though I don't really have the arms for it yet, but oh well. When I put on my washed jeans (which suck, FYI), and they didn't fit properly, I didn't just go "Wear 'em anyway". No, I changed into someting that fits me properly. I wish people would take note. It doesn't matter what size you are, you can dress appropriately.

Thank you!!! People are supporting the opinion that I have had for years. I was in the hospital with my mom getting some paperwork for stuff and we saw this woman who was wear like size 20 stretch pants when she needed a 28 at least. It was scarring. I was thinking that larger people can cover a little of that and look good. My French teacher for the past two years is a large woman but she wears clothes that fit her body type and she looks pretty every day. That is what can come out of people wearing the size clothes that they need.

Stonewall,

Added to mega-portions is the fact that healthier food costs so much more than junk food. A salad in downtown Chicago costs $7.00, and that's not even including meat. A Quarter Pounder meal is something like $4.00.

I am a formerly obese person that lost 55 lbs and is still about 15 lbs overweight. I've never realized how difficult and expensive it was to eat healthy in America until I started losing weight 2 years ago.
