Hey guys --
I know there have been a bunch of threads regarding these, but I couldn't quite find the information I am looking for. I am a high school senior, looking to study MT next fall (two auditions down, seven to go!), and I was wondering what options could be available for me this upcoming summer, before college starts up.
It seems that most summer stock companies start up way before the end of my senior year, in May or early June, so it wouldn't even make sense to audition for them. I am still looking into the StrawHats, though... I had seen a few theatres that hired on a show-to-show basis, and not for the summer, but it didn't seem there were too many.
As for apprenticeships/internships, I am interested mainly in performing, not so much the technical aspect, and from what I've seen, most internships are strictly college students who are interested in the administrative aspect of theatre.
Any suggestions?
Perhaps I should just do some CT and take it easy the summer before school?
