I'm probably as white as white can get. I have very sensitive skin and skin cancer runs in my family so I don't stay outside for excessive periods of time trying to get a tan. I'd like to find a good sunless tanner spray or lotion that is more natural and less..orange. Any recommendations? I just want something subtle. I don't want anything drastic.
I'm the same way. I've heard that the spray on ones are good but I don't know. Never had the time to find out.

I tried and liked the Nivea Sunkissed body lotion (I think that's what it's called). It's basically a regular body lotion with sunless tanner in it. You use it for about five days and the "tan" comes on gradually. I didn't have any streaking or orange. I think this is because it's gradual over multiple applications, so you get even coverage and color over the course of five days. You can use it as long as you want, but I guess the initial "tan" takes about five days to fully develop. I noticed color after the first application though.
Only drawback, is that it smells kind of funny as it dries, but I guess most self-tanners do.

1. I agree with above. Gradual tanners ("with a touch of self-tanner") are good for super pale people. I use Vaseline brand (I've also used Jergens and Dove).
2. Toma's Tan Perfect is good because it has a "color guide" and you can see where you put it. The color guide makes you look like you're doing black-face, but when you wash it off, it's pretty good. http://www.tomastanning.com/
i've always wanted to try those but i'd look so funny with a tan beacuse i've never had a real one lol
i get a little tan, then burn, then go back to pale irish white (which should be a crayon color btw...)
my mom uses lotion that has a gradual tanner in it though.
