Watching a documentary about Supermen, I learned a few actresses that screen tested for Lois Lane in the original Superman movie were Stockard Cahnning & Leslie Ann Warren

The documentary also show a few clips from the TV verson of the Superman musical. It was dreadful & was made on a shoestring & looked like it. They missed a golden opportunity by not filming the show itself

I remember the finale Pow Bam Zonk on Broadway. It took place in an abandoned powerhouse. There were a troupe of Chinese acrobats & Superman hit one of them & he flew off into the air & disappeared . In addition, about 5 or 6 numbers from the show were cut

Taken on its own, it may not be bad but it pales in comparison to the original.

Oh, I thought the clips from the t.v. special was HORRENDOUS and so was Leslie Ann Warren's screen test for the movie. Ick!
