Tom at the Farm may actually be a meditation on self-loathing homosexuality and the closet from what I heard. Compared to Dolan's other movies (Heartbeats, I Killed My Mother, and his masterpiece Laurence Anyways), it seems the least sexually explicit.
But I guess, you know, those protesters are not interested in nuance.
