The politicians can't end this war. Only you and I can.

47 percent who say things are going very badly, the poll found.

Poll Shows View of Iraq War Is Most Negative Since Start
Like anyone cares. I wish they did a poll to see if people cared about polls.
Oh shut up.
except in congress.
You shut up too.

The only way that the war is going to end is if they bring back the draft. Nobody cares enough if they're not directly involved.
It doesn't matter if they care or not. Public opinion obviously means nothing to Dems or Republicans.
mejusthavingfun -- for all your talk, how many times have talked with the offices of your Congressperson and Senators about your Iraq position? Taken to the streets? Or picketed your Senators office?
I have been calling Hillary and Chuck almost daily years. Both are on my cellphone. I also blog and mass mail friends with pertinent information. I write OPeds for a few local papers in Pennsylvania. I have been part of many rallies and protests.
I'm not sure rallies/protests work all that well. The media all but ignored us when the GOP pushed for war with Iraq.
I also write to the media often and I donate money to groups that support causes I'm passionate about.
I am not in town this weekend, but I'm sure I will go to honor the fallen. I also will be planting trees with a group of kids on Sat.
Right now my concerns are exposing the reason behind the war with Iraq, and informing people about Iran.
Good.
People who blow smoke but don't do anything get on my last nerve.
This is an interesting fact that is often a point of discussion in political theory, social moments, and democracy classes: more people took to the streets during the months building up to this second war in Iraq than at any point in American history.
It wasn't shown by the media however so if you weren't actually there you didn't know it happened - this is terribly clique but if a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound?
It wasn't just that protest that wasn't covered. None of them were. Even the ones when Bush stole the 2000 election. After 9/11 I realized I had better things to do with my time than lay around. I started meeting with people related to 9/11 and I just started to realize we all have unanswered questions.
This isn’t about conspiracy theories or anything like that. Our government doesn’t really hide anything. They just dance around it. The media plays along and paints a skewed version or reality. Just like yesterday.
Why is no one asking about the “Hydrocarbon Law?” That is the sole reason we are in Iraq. I know that because I read and learn. I will tell as many people I can.
Well, hey, guys, c'mon, it's not like the government had anything better to do with the nearly one trillion dollars and 3,000 American lives and Zeus only knows how many Iraqi lives wasted on Mad King George's family.
